Ballard Beer Box is an Indian-owned pizza place in Ballard, and two of our pizzas taste like home: the Grand Masala and the Desi Chicken Tandoori. Both start on the same organic Washington flour dough as everything else we make, hand tossed and baked hot. Then we put a curry on it.
Curry tikka masala, aged mozzarella, marinated paneer, garlic, red onion, cherry peppers and fresh cilantro. Vegetarian. The paneer toasts and squeaks a little, and the tikka masala does the job tomato sauce usually does. It's the pizza The Infatuation singled out. Add fresh Thai chili for more heat.

Spice and paneer like something cold and a little fruity. A hazy IPA or a crisp lager from our fourteen taps works, and so does a glass of skin-contact or orange wine. Our house wines are natural, and Monday to Thursday until 5pm they're $2 off at happy hour.
